Holiday Decorating with Whimsy Art Studio

The holidays are upon us.  What fun it is to decorate for the holiday season. My kids and I usually put up the tree on Thanksgiving.  You know, after you eat, when you have two choices, take a nap or walk it off. Out comes the decorations, a tree, ornaments, cherished mementos and those handmade decorations your kids made in grade school never the worse for wear.  Here is an idea, paint yourself a painting of a themed snowman or reindeer.  It is easy and fun. Upcoming this week is this fun mixed media painting I call Bird Chair.  The painter has the choice of background and chair colors as they paint.  The fun is in the adding of torn vintage inspired paper to the painting for that added touch. Whimsy's Bird was so much fun to paint. Painters can have fun adding pattern via paint to this painting and embellishing the branches with delicate flowers. An easy painting for beginners. You will be surprised at your skills.  And she is cute enough to hand in your home.

I painted all weekend adding six new paintings to the gallery and offering six new classes for August. The Calender of Events is the place to look for these and include Poppies seen here. Crazy for Owls? Me too. Started painting them in bright colors this fall. They sell out faster than I can make them.
